We are dedicated to ensuring that any expansion plan approved for Boston Children's Hospital serves the needs of Massachusetts patients and families, is in line with the state's heath care cost containment goals, and preserves the hospital’s half-acre natural therapeutic space – Prouty Garden, a national model for hospital healing gardens.

Welcome to REACH Boston, a new website affiliated with the Friends of The Prouty Garden (www.saveprouty.org). REACH stands for Responsible Expansion At Children’s Hospital.

Complementing the outreach and advocacy work of the Friends of The Prouty Garden (FPG), two additional citizen groups have formed over the past several months to challenge Children’s Hospital’s $1 billion expansion - a project that would raise health care costs in Massachusetts, limit access for local patients, and destroy Prouty Garden.

On this new website, you will find important documents, legal developments, and media coverage regarding both of these groups and their respective challenges to the proposed BCH Project. In addition, we will share posts by Friends of The Prouty Garden, in an effort to provide the fullest picture possible of why the Hospital’s plan should go back to the drawing board.
